Sustainability is integrated in Shunho’s business strategy-it is at the core of what we do.
We are continuously innovating through improving technology and introducing advanced machinery to deliver you TransMet®, a sustainability packaging material and designed meets functionality.
We aim to be a pioneering supplier of sustainable packaging materials.
Together we win for the business & environment!
Let’s TransMet® !
How Shunho works with Sustainability ?
Below you can find seven aspects of exploring sustainability options.
| REDUCE
Unlike film laminations & foil laminations, replacing packaging with TransMet® packaging materials reaches at least 65% finite resource(fossil fuels & mineral)reduction by reducing the usage of plastic film and aluminum foil to promote environmental sustainability and minimize costs.

| REUSE
Plastic film as a carrier applied during TransMet® packaging materials production can be reused at least 3 times in our plant. After that the plastic film can be recycled to produce plastic again.

| RECYCLABLE
TransMet® packaging materials can be recycled with plain paper efficiently and economically by using advanced technology according to relevant standards. That is to say, the recycle logo can be printed on packaging if using TransMet® packaging materials.
Moreover, the plastic film used as a carrier in TransMet® packaging materials’ production can be recycled to produce plastic again.
| RECOVERY
RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) equipment installed & system applied in our TransMet® packaging materials’ plant to absorb heat from exhaust gas and then convert it to electric energy. The whole process is a high recovery of thermal energy.
| DEGRADABLE
TransMet® packaging materials can be considered fully degradable under home composting conditions (at ambient temperature) according to relevant standards. Hence Home Degradable (OK Compost Home) logo can be printed on packaging if TransMet® packaging materials are used.
In addition, OK COMPOST is one of the most strict certification standards in the world and is the only home composting certification in the world so far.
| RESPONSIBLY SOURCED MATERIALS
TransMet® packaging materials use raw materials & components sourced from socially and environmentally responsible suppliers. (e.g. Invercote paperboard from IGGESUND and release coating components supported by EASTMAN technology, etc.)

| LOWER CARBON FOOTPRINT
TransMet® packaging materials have less carbon footprint than alternatives. The packaging materials are 100% plastic free with a microscopic thin layer of aluminum.
